She actually made me think of that other bird Vanessa Mae. Whatever happened to her?? She was some sort of international sensation sometime back in 1864 and then disappeared from the media. Anyway, pretty girls playing violin rock n roll style = backed.

Funny because the weather was almost exactly the same as when i did my original gardening day. Fucking rain..

Anyway, here’s what my balcony looked like originally. I had 3 pots. One with the ivy thing, one with strawberries and parsley and one with camomile and basilico.

So I decided to add 2 more to the lot:

Done and done.

And smashed it. To bits. Yes.

Here’s my smart plan:
I decided to just get the mirror without the frame and stick it onto my wardrobe door so that it’s not in a way and it doesn’t take up space just standing around.

Here, I hit a little snag. The cheapest stick on mirror I found in shops near my house was like $100 and was too short and too wide. Instead of falling into desperation I hit the local used crap joint and picked up this glamorous red free standing mirror for a mere $10.

And I did what comes naturally, dismantled it:

Now I was faced with disposing the rubbish off which can be quite a hassle in Japan considering the awkward size. I don’t live near any river where I could just dump the shit. Fortunately I pack quite a punch so about 2 minutes and several karate chops later the whole thing fit into a Disk Union bag which I could then safely put into my small rubbish disposal unit:

Now came the tricky part. The glue I bought said it needs 24 hrs to set properly. There was no way I was gonna be holing the mirror pressed to the door for 24 hrs so the next logical step was to remove the door from the hinges. It took me a minute and a half to work out how.

Now I had the door down, mirror separated from the frame and all I had left to do was to wipe the thing with a damp cloth to clean off the dust before proceeding with the glue

By now the storm outside was in full swing, with lightnings and everything. Judge 2nd 7″ cover style. Seconds before I was due to spread the glue on the thing the lights in the whole city went off. Blackout FRIENDS style.

While waiting for the lights to come back on I was watching Mythbusters on my phone hoping the electricity will kick back on before my battery goes flat. I only had 30-something % left. Fortunately, 20 minutes later good men at the power station fixed the shit and I was back on track. And yeah, Kari Byron is soooo fit.

The gig was at The Game. Place I have never been to before, I think. Major mistake on our part for not checking the “rules and regulations”. We fucked ourselves by getting in early only to find out that there was no re-entry. Welcome to Japan.

Fortunately Hiro showed up and made the waiting time less painful. Cold World were amazing.

Also, today Amy saved for me some little sweets she made. Super delicious. I’m into the WARNING sign she did as well :)
