It makes me wonder actually. I have never EVER met a kid at the show here who would know/be into any of the 80s or even earlier 90s music. Then again all these older shit is widely available through the 2nd hand stores so someone must be putting it there and judging from the amount of records I see there must be heaps and heaps of dudes into cool music in Tokyo.
