My friend Geon came over the other day. We hung out.
Geos is a dude who has GORILLA BISCUITS specs.

They’re made by Georgio Botto who obviously ripped off the GB logo

Anyway, we met in Shinjuku and walked around 2nd hand shops buying some records. I was more looking than buying due to lack of notes in my wallet.
I found this awesome lot of LIP CREAM and ABURADAKO 7″s, prices on average about $160-$180 a record

Another ABURADAKO record, they are pretty rare and cool, shame that this one comes with $120 price tag and I will probably never buy one haha

Another Japanese punk record that I never heard of but if it wasn’t $30 I would buy just for the name alone. This band’s called DUKOWSKI’S T-SHIRT, how awesome is this name? haha

I also found the VEGAN REICH ep that I already have. I wouldn’t buy it anyway cuz it was overpriced.

Now, some home sweet home stuff – band from Poland called PIGNATION. They came out long after I left the country but I heard the name somewhere and kind of remembered it even though I never actually heard the band. Anyway, I didn’t know they had a Lp out so when I found it I looked through it quickly out of curiosity. Front, nothing special..

Back cover however reminded me THE VERY BEST times I had in Poland. For real.

This, again, will only be funny for certain Polish dudes who remember straight edge in Poland in mid 90s..

I don’t know how old this record is but seems like not much changed in Polish HC since the 90s when I left haha. Most obviously first thing that comes to mind when looking at that photo is an all time classic – the demo of a band called PURE.

I wish I had a tape deck and could bust this demo right now haha. They had this mega “cool” song about the Korean dude named Choi Yeong-eui who created Kyokushin.
If I wasn’t a lazy sod that I am I would type that lyric in. Some funny stuff about fists, dirt and fighting and sucking Korean cock.

On the side note the movie about that dude was pretty chill.

I mean I dont care about the dudes kicking the living shit out of other dudes. I watched it cuz Hirayama Aya is super hot. Seriously.

Anyway, all things aside I also found this cool PUSHEAD book and a zine.
Never seen nor heard of it before. I am not a GREAT Pushead fan but I’d really like to check it out if it wasnt 30 bucks. I guess it was expensive cuz it was signed all over the cover, front and back

In the same shop I spotted a big box of demo tapes. All $1. I started digging through and most of it off the top was shit thuggish JP HC bands from late 90s I did find something worth picking for a buck:

Raid was, in my opinion the best band out of all the HARDLINE RECORDS releases. I bust the lp every now and then to this day.

Interview with Steve in, I think DESTROY BABYLON, the one Micah (or someone else) did with him after he sold out on everything and started smoking pot, was one of the coolest I ever read. I think it also said somewhere there that they stopped selling or destroyed some of the RAID cds after the news came out.
Later on VICTORY re-released that cd with shittier looking sleeve and different title.

In that same demo box I found these two FALLING DOWN demos

I was hoping that at least one of them was of a band that later on became to be known as DAY OF SUFFERING

I didn’t even know if there ever was a FALLING DOWN demo in the first place. Anyway, both of these turned out to be by some JP band of the same name. Didn’t buy them.

What I did buy was the SWIZ ep on green, older pressing of the DEZERTER ep with this big fold out sleeve/zine

and the OMEGA TRIBE ep on CRASS RECORDS.

Now, I never heard that band and I got SERIOUSLY burnt on the SNIPERS ep.
I was having some serious 2nd thoughts before buying this but I wanted to pursue my completing of the CRASS RECS catalogue so I gave it a go.
This one turned out to be pretty OK. I liked those little piano bits here and there, similar to the ones you could hear later on the SCHWARTZENEGGAR recordings. I’m happy to have bought this.

Other than that I tried new tea flavour. Peach Melba.
What the fuck is Melba??

It’s from the same series as the Grapefruit Tea here, but nowhere near as good. I’m pretty sure it was the first and the last time I purchased this beverage.

Anyway, Geon stayed over at my place and we watched a bunch of Korean movies. The first one was kinda sucky and was immediately deleted, the other one was so weird that it was fun to watch. It was a cartoon focused around arse and shit in general.

Basically the story goes: Everything in the future is entirely powered by human shite. With the government wanting 100% control over this important source of energy, they shove special sensors up its citizens anuses to monitor shit production, At the same time they use addictive lolipops to control the masses.
