And when I thought it couldn’t be any better I go to the HH gig.
Right after the double UNDERDOG bill. Fuck I’m so happy this week haha.
I fed the cat in the morning and went. The motherfucker is getting bigger and bigger so fast. His eyes are getting into the normal colour. Fading blue.

There was SICK OF IT ALL gig in ACB Shinjuku at the same time and I briefly considered it as an option but I thought I had already seen them a bunch of times and I will see them again on Saturday in Yokohama so I went for the edge show haha. I’d wanna see Have Heart as many times as possible cuz I may never get a chance to see them again + I get to hang out with Sweet Pete which is also a good thing.
The gig:
I met with Asuka at the Kichijiouji station and we went off to Warp. I was late because of the fucking work and I missed nearly whole CLEAVE set. AGAIN! They are probably my favourite band from Tokyo right now (except for GAUZE haha). They are also really cool dudes. I got in time for the last two songs. Daihei’s banter was fucking hilarious. Dude is an awesome frontman. Seriously, one of the best :)
Check their CD if you get a chance.

After that was MY LOVE. I think they try to go for the Rivalry Recs type of sound, whatever that means haha. It’s just when I listen to them I think of Rivalry for some reason. Nevertheless they’re really good. I hope they will get even better. Japan needs this kind of HC.

Next band: SILENCE KILLS THE REVOLUTION. What’s the deal with all the crappy names? They are actually really popular here but during their set I was talking to Daiki and Daihei upstairs so no pics and no video. Next time.
Next on was AND BELIEVE..
They’ve been around for a while. I remember seeing them the first time I came to Japan few years ago. They got so much better since then. I really enjoyed their set. Bonus points for the guitar player for 80s gigolo outfit. The bass player is in Jaybird (they played with UNDERDOG on Wed)

And finally HAVE HEART. Dudes like this should come to Japan more often. Amazing set. Cant wait to see them again on Thursday and Sunday!

They were supposed to learn some IME songs for Sweet Pete to sing during their set but they didn’t so instead dude sung “Something More Than Ink” off of their new LP
The whole show was awesome. Great bands, I caught up with a bunch of friends that I havent seen in forever like ZUMI and GEON.
Actually, I just noticed that Geon has an EVIL twin brother as seen in this photo below. I present to you the Geon clones:

Other stuff, this photo could have come out good if it wasnt out of focus. Still worth posting due to the robot features of the individual behind me :)

Nice shout outs to Tokyo Straight Edge!
Tokyo Straight Edge Loves Brian Murphy haha
